The pastor of Love Fellowship Crusade Choir loves choirs, gospel music, God and his people. And Hezekiah Walker has recorded a slew of ‘take me to church’ songs.

The gospel recording artist and Brooklyn native’s latest single, "Souled Out," is so hot that it almost found a permanent place on top of the Billboard charts for months. Recently, Walker was elevated to bishop, with churches in New York, the Carolinas and South Africa. With so much on his plate, he somehow managed to find time to participate in a back to school rally and family peace jam in Chi-town recently and talked with students and parents about the senseless violence in urban communities across the nation, especially in Chicago.

“I would have to say what the scripture says, Jesus said if my people who are called by my name would humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways. Then will I hear from heaven, I’ll forgive their sins and I’ll heal the land," Walker said.
