LOS ANGELES — Prosecutors say singer Chris Brown’s sentencing for beating pop star Rihanna has been moved up at his lawyer’s request. Brown was scheduled to be sentenced on Thursday, but the hearing has been rescheduled for Tuesday afternoon. Brown is expected to receive five years of probation and six months of community labor. His sentencing earlier this month was delayed after a judge learned that authorities in Virginia, where Brown wants to serve probation, hadn’t yet agreed to a probation plan. Brown pleaded guilty to assaulting Rihanna in June. He was arrested after the pair fought hours before February’s Grammys. Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos, said Tuesday that he did not expect there to be anymore problems with the sentencing. ______ In photo: Singer Chris Brown, left, looks to his attorney Mark Geragos, right, as they attend Brown’s sentencing hearing for assaulting singer Rihanna, at the Los Angeles County Criminal Courts in Los Angeles on Wednesday, August 5, 2009.
