Woman’s body found in Markham

Authorities say a partially clothed woman whose body was found in a heavily wooded area south of Chicago was strangled.

Authorities say a partially clothed woman whose body was found in a heavily wooded area south of Chicago was strangled.

Markham Police Chief Wade Ingram says 47-year-old Sheila Nelson’s body was found by passersby Sunday morning.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office says there was a belt around her neck.

Ingram says it appears that Nelson’s body was dropped off by a car.
