Unless you’re listening to your favorite R&B radio station that plays old school hits, or your own CDs, the chances of you hearing the svelte tunes of Al B. Sure! are slim to none.

Unless you’re listening to your favorite R&B radio station that plays old school hits, or your own CDs, the chances of you hearing the svelte tunes of Al B. Sure! are slim to none.

Well that changes next month when the singer-producer from the New Jack Swing era releases his fourth album, "Honey I’m Home," 17 years after his last original release, "Sexy Versus," and six years since "The Very Best of Al B. Sure!" was released.

In town recently for a listening party for Home, Albert Brown III, or Al B. Sure! said if you liked his first album, you’ll love the new one.

“I wanted to create the 2009 version of ‘In Effect Mode.’ It’s the grown and sexy version of it and the fans will be pleased,” the deep-voiced Sure said.

The selections on the CD are inspired from personal situations, as well as from stories of his radio listeners in Los Angeles. Sure recently hosted a nighttime radio show called "The Secret Garden" before moving to weekday mornings on HOT 92.3/KHHTFM in Los Angeles.

This is also the first album Sure parted ways with Warner Bros. label.
