It was a glorious birthday musical to remember, a night of anointed praise! Members of the gospel music community, friends and members of First Church of Love and Faith gathered to celebrate the Rev. Dr. Lucius Hall’s birthday with a musical. Among the standing-room-only crowd was the legendary Dorothy Norwood, Albertina Walker, Inez Andrews and Delores Washington.

Other guests included Phillip Sneed, Dr. Loudella Evans Reed, the Rev. Mitty Collier, Alfred Wheeler and Blessed, along with William Smith and Renewed Spirit. Some of the evening’s highlights included Felicia Campbell, who rendered an incredible rendition of "Total Praise." The special surprise guest was Dr. Charles Hayes and the Cosmopolitan Church of Prayer Choir.

In addition to his pastoral role, Hall serves as the city’s Commissioner of Human Resources and on the board of directors for the Broadcast Ministers Alliance, and is on the Gospel Music Festival committee. Tyscot recording artist, Pastor Deandre Patterson and Destiny Worship Praise Choir shared their music ministry during the musical.

“Rev. Hall is a legend in his right and took the mantle of continuing the legacy and helping new generation gospel singers remember who paved the way,” Patterson said.
