NAIROBI, Kenya — Kenyan police say they will question six people over the killing of two activists who were investigating extra-judicial killings. The deaths of Oscar Kamau Kingara and John Paul Oulu provoked international outrage and calls for an independent investigation. The U.S. embassy offered the services of agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Saturday’s statement did not say whether the six were in custody or what they were suspected of. Many Kenyan rights groups say Thursday’s attack may have been linked to the activist’s investigation of police death squads. The police say they are investigating leads that the two were involved in a business deal that went wrong. ______ Copyright 2009 Associated Press. All rights reserved.
